The 'Here's How I Think' Video

    By The FACEFWD Team

Most professionals post to stay visible. That is fine as far as it goes, but visibility without trust does not move anyone to pick up the phone.

So swap one of your weekly posts for a "here's how I think" video.

    What that means specifically

Not a tips list. Not a market update. A 45-to-60 second video where you walk through one real decision: how you priced a particular deal, why you turned down a client, the question you always ask in a first session and what you are listening for in the answer.

The subject is the reasoning, not the outcome. "We listed at 15% under comparable properties" is a fact. "We listed 15% under because the last three houses on that street sat for ninety days and I would rather have four offers in a week than one in a month" is a way of thinking someone can evaluate.

Why it works better than a highlight reel

People hire the person whose judgement they already trust. Results tell someone you have had wins; reasoning tells them how you will handle their situation, which is the only thing they are actually trying to work out.

It is also much harder to fake, and audiences know that. Anyone can post a testimonial. Explaining a real trade-off — including the part where you gave something up — is a thing only someone who has done the work can do convincingly.

    How to find one

The best source is a decision you found slightly uncomfortable. If it was obvious, there is nothing to show. Look for the ones where two reasonable options existed and you picked one:

    • A time you advised against the thing that would have paid you more.
    • A rule of thumb you have abandoned, and what replaced it.
    • A case where the standard advice was wrong for this particular person.

One of these a week compounds quickly. Viewers become followers, and followers become the people who arrive at a first call already feeling like they know how you work — which is a very different conversation from a cold one.
