LinkedIn Is Now the #1 B2B Video Channel
By The FACEFWD Team
Something shifted quietly at the top of the video marketing charts, and it matters if you sell to businesses.
LinkedIn has claimed the #1 spot as the top platform for B2B video marketing, with 70% of marketers now naming it their primary video channel. Over the same period, AI-generated video content on LinkedIn surged 310% in a single year.
What the numbers actually say
Read together, those two figures describe a land grab that is already underway. The channel got more valuable, and the cost of producing for it collapsed at the same time. That combination does not stay open long — it closes when enough people show up to fill the feed.
There is a less comfortable read underneath it too. Visibility on social platforms is no longer a passive outcome of having a good profile. Every major algorithm — LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube — now rewards one behaviour above almost everything else: consistent, frequent video. Miss a week and you quietly drop out of rotation. Miss a month and someone else is occupying the space you used to have.
Where professionals get stuck
The gap between knowing this and acting on it is where most realtors, recruiters, therapists and consultants stall out. It is never disbelief in the medium. It is the production chain: recording, editing, captioning, scheduling, doing it again tomorrow. That compounds fast, and it compounds worst for exactly the people whose income depends on being visible — because they are the ones with the least spare time.
What to do about it this month
If you sell to businesses and you are not posting video on LinkedIn, the single highest-value change available to you right now is to start — badly is fine. A few things worth knowing before you do:
- Native video only. A link out to YouTube gets a fraction of the distribution of the same video uploaded directly.
- Assume no sound. Most of your audience is scrolling in an office or on a train. Captions are not an accessibility nicety here, they are the difference between being watched and being scrolled.
- Talk about decisions, not announcements. B2B audiences reward reasoning they can borrow. Nobody reshares your firm's news.
- Hold a cadence you can survive. Three times a week forever beats daily for a fortnight.
You do not need to become a video producer. You need to show up often enough that the algorithm and your prospects both learn to expect you.
